Richard Carl Macomber,

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on Sept. 13, 2017 at the age of 86. He was born on December 4, 1930 in Jackson, MI to Milton and Meta (Sheetz) Macomber. He attended Jackson High School, prior to joining the Navy. He served in the Korean War from 1950 to 1954 ranking as a CS3 and earning the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal. He married the love of his life Delores Gollakner. Richard enjoyed fishing, Hunting, and garage sales and flea markets and a love for his John Deere Tractors....

He attended Jackson High School, prior to joining the Navy. He served in the Korean War from 1950 to 1954 ranking as a CS3 and earning the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal. He married the love of his life Delores Gollakner. Richard enjoyed fishing, Hunting, and garage sales and flea markets and a love for his John Deere Tractors. He was a former Jackson Moose Member. Richard was a painter by trade working as a Painter Apprentice for L. Struder, then went on to be a Union Commercial painter until retirement. Survived by his Son Randy (Wendy) Macomber , grandchildren; Randy Jr( Christina) Macomber , Nicole Macchia and Scott (fiancé Nattalie) Macomber Ricky (Sarah) Macomber, Mark Macomber and his 6 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren all from Jackson. He had numerous pets throughout his life that he loved dearly leaving behind his current pet cat Blackjack, and caregiver, Mike Donavon. Preceded in death wife, Delores Macomber Oct.1, 2002 and Son, Ricky Lee Macomber June 26, 2011, Brother, Milton in 2007 and Half Brother, and Bob Macomber. A military service will be held on September 29, 2017 at 12:00pm at Fort Custer National Cemetery the service will include burial for Delores as the two shall be joined as one again.
