Phyllis Joann Bennett "Sis" -
Age 75, of Jackson, MI, born April 8, 1942, in Jackson, lifted her arms, stood up pain free, and walked to Heaven on May 15, 2017. Welcoming her to paradise along with our Heavenly Father are many loved ones she has sadly missed that have preceded her journey. This includes her true love that left this earth in 1993, her husband, Thomas Bennett; mother, Stella Krieger; father, Robert "Red" Krieger; brother, Robert "Bob" Ramey. Many very close brothers-in-law, sisters- in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She is survived by so many that love her dearly and will miss her painfully, but are at Peace knowing that she is where she prayed to go. This includes the joy of her life for the past 7 years, her grandson, Owen Hardcastle; daughter, Terry (Chad) Hardcastle; baby brother, Robert "Rusty" (Lisa) Krieger; sisters-in-law and family, Patricia (Mike) Kelley, Norma Hawley, Linda Bennett, Eloise Ramey; brother-in-law and family, Fred (Kay) Bennett; nephew and family, Robert "Robbie" Krieger (Amy, Dylan, and Ryan); niece and family, Bobbie Jo Little (Cale, Kelsie, Sahara, Kaelin, Emma, Lexi, and Kylie; her 10 year old chihuahua "Pumpkin"; two very dear friends, Kay Keathley and Audrey Haire; many, many more cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends. Those that knew her are blessed with the love that she gave to everyone. She had every reason to complain of her constant pain and disability most of her adult life, but never did. Her love for her family and friends kept her strong to continue on Earth. She lived alone for 12 years after the loss of her loving husband until a car accident in 2005 caused more pain and damage. With this she needed 24 hour assistance which brought "her girls", Kim Myer, Jackie Uroda, Tavia Myer, Shelly Conley, and Kaitlyn Heyd. As her caretakers for the last 11 years, these girls, along with Lisa Krieger, made her life as normal, comforting, and happy as possible. She loved them all very much! The words are endless to speak of this woman and the joy, love, happiness, and laughter that she brought to everyone. She will be missed by all. The arrangements to honor Phyllis and show the love she showed for everyone are as follows. Visitation Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 5 - 8 pm and Friday, May 19, 2017 from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am. The visitation and funeral will be held at the church she loved and officiated by the Pastor she loved dearly, Pastor Byron Maynard, New Hope Missionary (Community) Church, 1800 Park Rd, Jackson, MI 49203, (located between Weatherwax and Horton Rd). She loved flowers but she also loved her church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Hope Community Church.
