It is with great sadness that the family of Jane Louise Haack, age 84 announces her passing on Sunday, January 28, quietly in her sleep. Jane was born in Jackson, MI to Preston Gail and Mary Bechtol. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Haack of Jackson and Louis (Pamala) Haack of Pleasant Lake. Two grandchildren, Lindsay (Tiffany) Haack of TX and Nathanael (Lauren) Haack of OH. It is with great sadness that the family of Jane Louise Haack, age 84 announces her passing on Sunday, January 28, quietly in her sleep. Jane was born in Jackson, MI to Preston Gail and Mary Bechtol. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Haack of Jackson and Louis (Pamala) Haack of Pleasant Lake. Two grandchildren, Lindsay (Tiffany) Haack of TX and Nathanael (Lauren) Haack of OH. Two great-grandsons, Lincoln of TX and Asher of OH. Also surviving is a sister, Alice of Statesville, NC; a special nephew, Neil (Nancy) of Battle Creek; and several nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Frank; and two sons, Aaron Michael and Paul Franklin. Also her brothers: Gail, Robert, and James; sisters: Margret, Mary, and Elizabeth. Jane was a loving mom, in her early years raising four growing boys, The "Great Haack Brothers". She enjoyed cooking and baking throughout her life. Later in life she used these skills at Meijer working in their bakery. She loved to can vegetables and became known as the Pickle Lady. Hobbies included reading, gardening, traveling with family, and her favorite being crocheting. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 2, 11:00 AM at (Cornerstone Christian Church, 2395 W. High Street, Jackson, MI) with visitation from 9:30 AM until time of service. She will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone C.C. memorial fund in her name.
